Yes, that’s right! My blog turns 3 years old TODAY! That’s amazing & insane at the same time! My blogging journey has been a bit rocky this past year…there were lots of reading and blogging slumps, and I’ve actually thought about quitting due to being busy at school, but I’m really happy that I decided to stay. I’ve changed as a blogger and reader during my first year of blogging and have learned a lot. I used to be a blogger who signed up to all blog tours and accepted all review requests because I didn’t want to hurt any of the authors’ feelings by not accepting their request, but I have learned that I shouldn’t force myself to read every book and there’s nothing wrong with saying no. Know your limits and don’t overwhelm yourself with books. Also, I used to be jealous of other people who got ARCs and blogs that got a lot of comments + followers but throughout my blogging journey, I learned that being jealous will make your bloggy experience less fun since you’re constantly thinking you have to get to “the top”. I am so glad I decided to start blogging because it introduced me to other great books I don’t think I would have picked up if I wasn’t blogging. Also, I got to know YOU guys! You’re one of the reasons why I blog and I love interacting with everyone on Twitter. This community rocks and I hope it stays that way. I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU, to my readers, followers, other bloggers, booktubers, and authors. You are all amazing and without you guys there wouldn’t be Little Book Star. Because you guys are awesome, here is an INTERNATIONAL giveaway! Wherever you are, you are eligible to enter 🙂 There will be 1 winner and he/she can choose up to 3 books from this image:

Happy blogoversary! Look forward to reading your new posts!
Thank you Daniel! So glad I got to talk to you on Twitter and I’m looking forward to your future posts as well. 🙂
Only just found your blog recently but congrats on the three years, amazing achievement! I’ve only been blogging for little less than 2 months and I salute you for being able to keep up with blogging for that long, it’s harder than I ever imagined!
May you have many more happy years blogging!
Thank you, Aentee! I found your blog recently too when we talked on Twitter and I’m glad I discovered a new awesome blog 😀
Happy Blogoversary!
One important thing I’ve learned from blogging is that no matter where I get the book from, even from publishers or the author, my opinion is my opinion. No one can change that.
One blog and blogger I absolutely love is Richa @ City of Books (http://ecstatic-for-books.blogspot.com). We’re blogging buddies and her reviews are really well written! 🙂
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! 😀
Thank you! and I totally agree, Rabiah! Your opinion shouldn’t be affected with how nice the author is or how generous the publisher is to you. Your review should be based on your experience reading the book, nothing else. And don’t let anyone affect you if your opinion is different from others.
Oooh I’ll def. check out Richa’s blog! Thanks for the blog recommendation 😀
Hello, I am not a blogger, but I do read reviews from bloggers as it can help me find interesting and nice new books.
One of the blogger I subscribed to is readingnooknz.blogspot.com . She is very nice and I like her reviews. You should check it out.
Anyway thankyou for the giveaway! 😊😊
Yay it’s always great to hear when non bloggers read other people’s book blogs because that’s one of the reasons why we blog.. To make other book people happy and give our opinions about books 🙂
I’ll def. check out her blog!
Congratulations on 3 years of blogging, its so great isn’t it. I love finding new bookish people /blogs to follow too. Have you checked out:

Happy Blogerversary,
Amanda.
Thank you, Amanda ❤ I haven't checked those blogs out, but I will right now 🙂
Wow~ congrats! Three years of blogging is quite a feat. I think you and I are the same in terms of what we learned from this hobby. It’s pretty amazing to know what we’ve gone through the years! Here’s to more fun blogging years to come. ❤
Thanks Mitchii!
Congratulations on three years! I’ve learned a lot of the same things this year, and it’s made my blogging experience so much more fun 🙂
Thank you Kayla ❤
Omg Leigh happy blogoversary! I’m glad you didn’t quit ❤ I think you're one of the bloggy friends I made since I first started that still stay in the blogosphere. We all have grown a lot — both as a reader and as a blogger — and I'm proud of all of us. I hope you're staying for many years to come ^^
I’m glad too and I’m blessed to have bloggy friends like you! ❤ I was looking at the first couple of people I follow on Twitter and when I went on their blog, I saw that their last post were like last year and it just made me so sad 😦 I miss the other bloggers and it's sad how they slowly tiptoed away from the blogosphere. I'm still glad that I have you guys and YOU BETTER NOT QUIT ANYTIME SOON, WOMAN!!! 😀
Congrats on your 3 year blogoversary!!!
Thank you so much ❤ !!!
Happy Blogoversay!!!
and thanks for the giveaway
I love blogging and I’ve learn a lot from it
For example that there are no bad books just differents tastes 🙂
People can like different stories and that’s great
Thank you so much! And that’s so true. Different books will appeal differently to other people and that’s okay.
Happy Blogoversay!!!
I have learned that it is REALLY difficult to make myself review every book I read, sometimes because I have a hard time putting my feelings in words, but most of the time, it is actually because I just don’t like to write. Thus, I force myself to write reviews, but it is good for me, and I enjoy looking back and reading them later.
Thank you, Emma! I feel that way sometimes too. I think the technique is to just SPILL ALL THE FEELS. That’s what I do with my reviews. Just spill everything so you don’t forget any detail then after that, organize them into paragraphs. I write reviews so I can go back and read my thoughts later, too.
I ONLY SAW THIS NOW 😦 😦 But HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY LEIGH!!!!! You are one of the sweetest bloggers I know, and your blog is cute the way it is. I’m super glad you didn’t quit blogging because if you had, I wouldn’t have gotten to know you as a friend 😀
I have to agree, I used to accept every request and blog tours because I didn’t want to upset any author or have them yell at me via email. But I think it’s better to accept requests because you WANT to, not because you want to PLEASE another author. That’s one thing I learned after only one year of blogging 🙂
Jillian @ Jillian’s Books
THANK YOU JILLIAN ❤ ❤ aww that's so sweet. I'm so glad I got to know you, too! You're one of my bloggy friends that I love talking to and admire. And, that's so true. We should accept requests because we want to, not to please the author.
Whooo! Happy 3rd Blogoversary. Can’t believe I only found your blog NOW but better late than never right? Excited for more posts and twitter chats. I will see you around the twitter okay? 😉 Congrats!!
~Kaitlin
Thank you, Kaitlin 😀 And yes, better late than never! I’m glad I discovered your blog, too! Looking forward to chatting with you on Twitter and your blog
Congrats on three years!!
You should check out My Friends Are Fiction. She’s on Bloglovin.

I’ll def. check out her blog! Thank you, Alice 😀
Ahh, Congrats on your 3 Years! 🙂
Thank you!
I seem to be late for everything these days — sorry about that!! But WOW, this is a huge milestone, Leigh. THREE YEARS!!! *pops confetti and smothers you with cake* I’m so proud of you!!! And I’m so glad that blogging has impacted you in such a positive way. I don’t think there’s a single book blogger out there who hasn’t changed even a little when they joined the bookish community, that’s how warm and amazing the blogosphere is. <333 I've known you for… a year+ now? And even though I don't comment all the time (I really need to step up in my commenting game, I've been slacking off a lot these past few months), I've enjoyed reading all your posts and, like Jillian said, get to know you better!
So — happy, HAPPY blogoversary, girl!! I hope you'll continue blogging for many more years to come! *hugs*
Don’t worry about it Megan! Yipeee thank you 🙂 and yes A YEAR more or less! That’s crazy 😀 I’m soo glad we became bloggy friends and keep being awesome ❤ awww that's so sweet! *hugs*
First time on this blog and I’m so thrilled that you are already on your third year! That’s an amazing feat. My blog is turning three in a couple of months soon so we’re year-babies! Ish? Maybe? Ack.
In any case, congratulations for all the work that you’ve done. I’m only sorry that I got to this blog a little late. I can’t wait to read your future posts and what else you have in store for us! Happy blogoversary!
Faye at The Social Potato
Woohoo welcome to my blog, Faye! OMG that’s awesome, happy early blogoversary to you! It’s totally okay. I’ve discovered some blogs that are like 4 y/o and I’m like how is this even possible that I’ve just discovered their blog! I can’t wait to read your future posts too!
Happy blogversary!! *showers you with delicious cake and confetti* OMG CONGRATS ON 3 YEARS TOO!! I turned 4 in May. :’) My little baby blog is all grow’d up. hehe. Ahhh, I’ve learnt a lot of things, but yes yes, I definitely learned that jealousy is a waste of time. It just makes things sour. And I always learned that blogging might be easy for some people but others have to work hard for every follower and THAT’S OKAY. x) It’s fun to work hard on something you love.
AW thank you Cait ❤ Dude that's so awesome!! Belated happy 4th blogoversary! And so true! This community thought me so much.
Happy blogoversary Leigh! 3 years is a really long time (for me) so it’s a great achievement 🙂 Hope you have a great year ahead!
Thank you Tiffany!
Well, this is super late, but happy blogoversary! *throws confetti* Three years is just insane, and congratulations for reaching so far.
Better late than never is my favorite saying 😛 Thank you Shannelle!
Happy blogoversary, Leigh! Three years shows a lot of dedication and I’m glad that even after all this time you still visibly enjoy blogging and interacting with everyone. I’m sure it helps that books matter so much too. Haha.
Yay! Happy blogoversary!!!! I’ve been blogging for a while too and I’ve learned that it can get pretty overwhelming haha. You have to know your limits and have fun with it 🙂
Thank you Paola!
Happy Blogiversary, Leigh! Three years is such an achievement, and I’m glad you’ve found your niche, and have let go of the pressure. I think the pressure is what gets to us a lot of the time, sadly.
As for your giveaway questions:
1) I have learned that blogging is for ME, and that I don’t have to try and fit in with what everyone else is doing, because I’ve never done that outside of blogging, so why would I change?
Also: letting go of copious amounts of ARCs. I only request the ones I’m willing to read, and the ones I really want to read!
I’ve also learned how appreciative this community is of its books and authors. I hadn’t expected that when I started, but I love seeing all the celebration around the place ^.^
2) Romi @ Where the Writer Comes to Write. She’s such a lovely person, and her posts are super awesome, too!
Congrats again, lovely! And here’s to many more years of blogging fun ❤
Thanks Chiara! And yes, I agree with the stuff you learned throughout blogging. I remember my first year I kept requesting ARCs but then realized how the heck am I going to get through all these books…so I started to limit my requests also. And yay I’ll check out Romi’s blog. 🙂
Happy Blogoversary! I don’t have a blog bit I spend most of times blog hopping 🙂 Ariel is one amazing booktuber. She’s amazing and has awesome book discussions. Here’s her link:
http://www.youtube.com/user/ArielBissett
Thank you! I love Ariel’s channel, too 🙂
I’ve made many friends on Goodreads/Booklikes but I’ve only recently moved and gotten into an actual blog. This is the first week that the posts have all looked similar on my blog. I haven’t joined all the cool blog features yet but I’m excited to eventually become part of the community. My online book friends are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Is it lame if I say check out my blog? I’d love constructive criticism or tips and I don’t follow many blogs yet so I’m not sure who to recommend…Maybe:
http://greetingsfrommiddleearth.blogspot.com/
i like librarianlavender.com for book reviews and friendly posts .
i learned from blogging – meeting other people from all over the world and i love it .
Happy blogoversary and congrats on three years! I just celebrated 4 years myself last month and it’s rather amazing to still be around! Like you, I’ve thought of leaving blogging, but I’m glad I stayed. This community is so lovely, I think I’d miss it too much! As for what I’ve learnt? Hmm, to blog for me. That’s a big one! Oh, and what blog do I recommend? Hmm, mine? Haha, jokes…how about Kelly @ divabooknerd.com – such a lovely lady and she has great content!
Oh wow 4 years! Congrats 😀
